To schedule a wedding contact our wedding coordinator, Kay Goepfert, at kgoepfert@gslcwi.com. Due to the size of our congregation and the number of weddings that we have each year, priority for scheduling a wedding is given to members of the congregation. If you are interested in becoming a member of Good Shepherd prior to scheduling a wedding, contact Lisa Benz at lbenz@gslcwi.com.

Anyone desiring to schedule a baptism is asked to attend Baptism Classes. Baptism classes consist of 2 sessions held on 2 consecutive Monday evenings every other month. The classes begin at 6:30pm and are about an hour long. For more information and class dates, click here. To register for the Baptism class, please contact Lisa Pajari at lpajari@gslcwi.com.
Membership

Six times a year, we hold a New Member class. The one session class meets on a Monday night for approximately an hour and a half. During this time, you will hear from the pastors and staff about the ministry opportunities that are available at Good Shepherd. You will also have a chance to ask questions. Childcare is provided for all new member classes. New members are typically welcomed and introduced at the weekend worship services following the class. For information about the New Member classes you may email Lisa Pajari at lpajari@gslcwi.com.

Everyone is welcome to take part in any of our ministries, whether it be Sunday School, Adult Bible classes, music groups or choirs. All ministries are open to all people. You need not be a member of the congregation to become involved and to worship with us.
Worship
-
We offer seven worship services every weekend during the school year. In the summer we also offer a Monday evening worship. For more information about worship times and locations, click here for Central Campus (Madison) and click here for West Campus (Verona).
-
Sunday morning worship at the Central Campus is considered traditional. The Saturday evening worship service at the Central Campus and Sunday morning worship services at our West Campus are considered contemporary. Our Sunday evening worship service, The Deep, is an alternative style geared to young adults, but open to all ages.
-
A traditional worship follows the traditions of most liturgical churches, like Lutheran and Catholic. There are responsive readings, sung liturgy, familiar hymns, choirs and the pipe organ. However, traditional worship isn’t just for older people. There are plenty of young adults and young families who enjoy this style of worship.
-
Contemporary worship primarily describes a difference in style of music. The music sounds more like pop or rock music and is led by a “worship team”. A worship team is a band with drums, bass, keyboard, guitars, and singers. The worship team is there to praise God through their offering of music and to encourage the whole congregation to focus on our God.
-
It is entirely up to you. You can come dressed casually or you can choose to wear your “Sunday best”. You are always welcome to worship at Good Shepherd.
-
Yes. The nursery is available during all worship services. The nursery facilities are very nice and are staffed by well trained, professional childcare providers. Any usher would be happy to help you find your way to the nursery.
