Allied Food PantryVolunteers help staff a large pantry in a nearby neighborhood pantry Pantry which operates Wednesdays mid-morning and Wednesday evenings. Volunteer serve about once a month. Good Shepherd Food PantryGood Shepherd opened a food pantry housed in our Central Campus. It serves our extended neighborhood, open once a week to meet emergency food needs of families/individuals in our area. Pantry Operates Thursdays midmorning from 10:00a.m.to noon and Thursday evenings from 5:30p.m. until 7:00p.m. Volunteers serve about once a month. The Road HomeHomeless shelter service 4 times a year. Volunteers serve as either an overnight host, an activity hose or a meal provider with our team serving several homeless families at Middleton Community Church. Volunteers would serve 4 times a year Transitional HousingProvide servers every other month to warm supper and take in hosts for men's shelter. Third Wednesday of every other month at Grace Episcopal Church downtown Loaves and FishesProvide food and servers once a month for 200 homeless/low income individuals downtown at Luke House on Williamson Street. Serve ,the 4th Thursday of every month, 9:00am - Care TeamVolunteers meet once every other month from 1:00 -2:00 pm and are available for temporary transportation, housekeeping, meal preparation, respite for those inneed in our congregation, Helping HandsOn-call to provide a meal for those going through difficulties in our congregation. Meals on WheelsIn May and November, Good Shepherd members deliver noon meals through this community ministry. Volunteers are asked to work one Sunday in May and one in November Habitat for HumanityTwice a year Good Shepherd will plan a Saturday work day on a local Habitat project. Volunteers would be specially notified of these work days. |
