The Madison Area Job Transition program is sponsored by six churches:

• Good Shepherd - Madison
• Bethel - Madison
• All Saints - Madison
• St. Stephens - Monona
• St. James - Verona
• St. Luke’s - Middleton.

The purpose of the program is to provide job seeking skills that allow those in Job Transition to find opportunities faster; and the critical mental/emotional support during transition. Meetings are held the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month at Good Shepherd Lutheran, are free and open to everyone.  Meetings feature a special speaker dealing with a topic that is fundamental to job seeking skills.  Many times, an attendee talks about "How I Got a Job" and shares what the individual learns from his job search.  Following the formal meeting, a team of professional resource personnel meet with attendess on such areas as financial/legal questions, resume writing, interviewing skills, and basic job search techniques.  First timers are welcomed at a "First Timers" table where trained individuals provide an overview of our program and all the material at our Resource Table.
